Boarding School

Our Boarding School consists of a training regimen in which your pet is left in our care for 4 weeks of rigorous training with the emphasis on leash control, general manners, recall, and behavioral integrity. Weeks 3 and 4 the family is invited / required to join in the training.  The family training / transition training sessions occur in the family home.  During this time the family/caretaker will be provided with instruction on how to maintain and continue your pets’ education.  At boarding school your pet will learn:

Leash control, Sit, Recall/Come, Down, Stay, and General manners.  We will also evaluate and work on minor behavioral issues.  Certain behavioral issues require more than general training.  These are the issues that require extra effort and are considered K-9 rehabilitation.

Our K-9 rehabilitation programs generally range from 4-6 weeks depending on the severity and type of issue.  Rehabilitation is an extension of the boarding school, so all boarding school objectives are incorporated in the rehabilitation program.  The family and caretaker are required to participate in transition training sessions to best insure lasting results.  Some issues require extended rehabilitation programs once the K-9 returns home.  Our goal is to prepare the K-9 and family for as many issues that may arise during the K-9 rehabilitation.
